Q. Is Bayshore merging with Meridian?
A. You may be aware that in December, 2008, we entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Meridian Health to explore joining our two organizations. We are currently in the process of evaluating this potential transaction through due diligence, review of regulatory requirements, engagement of consultants and attorneys, and, if agreed to, the eventual negotiation and execution of a definitive written agreement between our two organizations.

We believe that the potential integration of Bayshore with Meridian Health will benefit the communities we both service and will enable us to better ensure that our communities have access to a comprehensive continuum of integrated services that meet present and future health needs.
