Pilates Reformer Training
Developed in the 1920's by the legendary trainer Joseph H. Pilates, Pilates is an exercise system designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination and posture. Professional dancers and top athletes have been using Pilates Training for decades.

Pilates (pronounced puh-LAH-teez) is not just exercise, it is a series of controlled movements engaging your body and mind, performed on specially designed exercise equipment. The Pilates Reformer will tone and strengthen your abdominals, back, hips, legs, shoulders and arms.

Pilates promotes physical balance for people of all ages while providing an energizing workout. Sessions are done in a small group setting or one on one with a certified instructor. Each session is tailored to your specific needs. Regardless of your current level of fitness, Pilates Reformer Training can be your primary mode of exercise.

Pilates can safely be used by pregnant women to learn proper breathing and body alignment, improve concentration, and recover body shape and tone after pregnancy.

The Bayshore Fitness & Wellness Center at Old Bridge is please to provide Pilates Reformer training to our members, either one one, or in groups up to six members at a time, in 60-minute sessions.

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are NO makeup classes.
