Bayshore Wound Carereg mark Center
If you're suffering from a non-healing wound, you're not alone. Every year, chronic wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions, keep 3 to 5 million Americans just like you from doing the things they love to do. But the Wound Care Centerreg mark can help.

Overview of our services
The Bayshore Wound Care Centerreg mark is a comprehensive outpatient center that provides a thorough diagnostic appraisal of the wound and the patient, followed by a carefully designed case management program.

Our interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurses is dedicated to treating wounds — including many that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment. It's all we do. In fact, most Wound Care Centerreg mark patients are completely healed in a few months.

Your care is led by a board-certified surgeon, with a team that includes infectious disease specialists, nurses, and nutritionists, all with advanced training in wound care management.

When you come in, our staff will evaluate your wound and general health. They'll review your medical history. A blood test may be involved. You also may need special tests that give us information about blood flow and oxygen flow in the wound area.

After receiving your test results, we'll put together a treatment program based on your special needs. This program will include regular visits to the Wound Care Centerreg mark to provide treatment, evaluate progress and make any changes that might be needed. You (or your caregiver) will be given detailed instructions in home care, dressing (bandage) changes and protecting the wound from further injury.

Preparing to visit the Wound Care Center
Your first visit will take some time, so you'll need to plan accordingly.

Remember: You are a vital part of the program and much of your treatment's success depends on you. You must keep your appointments, follow directions carefully and watch your progress closely between visits. And anytime you or your family members have questions, our staff is available. In fact, we encourage you to ask questions!

We can help you get back on your feet and back to the things you love.

How the Wound Care Centerreg mark works with your physician
The Wound Care Centerreg mark works with your personal physician, just like any other medical specialist. We'll discuss your treatment program and keep him or her updated on your progress, unless instructed otherwise. Remember, you'll need to keep seeing your doctor for routine medical care.
